The Douglas® Football Butterfly Restrictor was developed in conjunction with Division I-A equipment managers and designed to be worn mainly by lineman, linebackers, and power running backs.
The slots on the rear flange align with the holes provided in most Douglas shoulder pads.
In order to mount the collar on other types of pads, you may have to drill small holes into the shoulder pad and assemble with the hardware provided.
